LOT Polish Airlines has partnered with another Polish brand. From now on, Gerlach cutlery will accompany in-flight meal service.

The LOT-branded collection will be available in LOT Economy Class on scheduled medium- and long-haul flights.

This is yet another onboard enhancement aimed at increasing travel comfort and ensuring the highest level of service.

Gerlach, a company based in Drzewica that has been present in Polish homes for over two centuries, has joined the list of Polish brands available on LOT Polish Airlines. A special collection was created specifically for LOT, enhancing the meal service in LOT Economy on scheduled medium- and long-haul flights. The cutlery is already available on selected routes and will gradually be introduced on additional flights.

The new LOT cutlery was developed through a multi-stage process that included tests for scratch resistance, mechanical durability, and shine retention. Additionally, like all tableware used in airline service, the cutlery had to meet weight criteria to avoid adding extra load and increasing fuel consumption. The result is a LOT-branded collection crafted from polished, nickel-free stainless steel. With 18% chromium content, the cutlery is resistant to corrosion and highly durable. Each LOT cutlery set weighs only 58 grams.

Introducing reusable cutlery in Economy Class also aligns with LOT Polish Airlines' commitment to reducing environmental impact. Eliminating disposable cutlery will decrease waste from flights by approximately 18.5 tons annually.
